Mediators and Locations

Every Family Mediator in our group is a member of the College of Mediators and fully accredited by, or working towards accreditation with, the Family Mediation Council (FMC), the body that recognises family mediators who meet standards set for England and Wales.

You can tell a mediator is fully accredited because you’ll find an ‘A’ at the end of their mediator number on the FMC website: www.familymediationcouncil.org.uk.

Mediators come from a variety of professional backgrounds. We have completed some of the most extensive family mediation training available, co-working alongside experienced mediators for one to two years after completing training courses, to further develop our skills.

We’re experienced in all kinds of family mediation, and have helped many hundreds of clients reach agreement on:

  • How to deal with property, such as who will live where, how homes will be owned
  • How to divide assets, including pensions
  • How monthly finances will be managed, including maintenance payments and child support
  • How children’s arrangements will work on separation
  • How to support children and meet their needs

We also offer Child Inclusive Mediation, which is recognised as important for children adjusting to their parents’ separation.

We can manage cases where conflict and emotions are high, provide a range of useful information and tailor our approach to meet the individual needs of each case, with a focus on children’s needs. We were part of the charity Oxfordshire Family Mediation, which ceased trading in June 2018 after providing mediation and related services for almost 30 years. Members of our group have mediated in court to enable clients to avoid continued litigation; delivered the Separated Parenting Information Programme to parents; worked with schools on a variety of projects and support sessions to enable children and their families to work through parental separation; and delivered national training to Children’s Centres and professionals within many other organisations.

If you are interested in training for your organisation, please contact Kerry Williamson for details.

To book an initial meeting, please choose the mediator in your preferred location to make contact with them.
