The voucher scheme is a limited fund launched by the Ministry of Justice and Family Mediation Council which offers up to £500 (per family) towards the costs of mediation involving children. This usually covers the cost of two mediation meetings with us. We can discuss this further in your MIAM. www.familymediationcouncil.org.uk/mediation-vouchers
If you are on a low income you may qualify for Legal Aid. We are currently unable to take on new Legal Aid cases but please see details of how we can support clients who would normally qualify for Legal Aid.
There are a few other providers from outside our area who offer Legal Aid. Please let us know if you would like details.
Documents for mediation about finance and property take considerable time to prepare. The two documents are the Open Financial Statement (OFS) and the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU). The £120 fee includes both documents. There are no extra charges for administration between sessions, such as session summaries.
Cancellations with less than two working days’ notice represent a real cost (due to room bookings and other costs). In those circumstances we charge a cancellation fee of £30.
Please note that all fees given above are per person. We can take payment by cash at your meeting or via bank transfer 3 days in advance of your meeting.
